Professional Event Photography in the San Francisco Bay Area
Since 2017, I've worked as an event photographer throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area, photographing events for businesses, nonprofits, museums, universities, cultural institutions, agencies, community organizations, and select private clients.
Whether you're planning a museum opening, university program, fundraising gala, networking reception, company celebration, cultural event, private dinner, anniversary celebration, or community gathering, every event has its own priorities. My approach is to understand what matters most before the day begins, then create a polished, documentary-style gallery that reflects the atmosphere, the people, and the moments that made the event meaningful.

Every event is different, but the goal is consistent: thoughtful photography that documents the experience naturally while making sure the people, details, and important moments are covered.
Before the event, we'll discuss your priorities, key people, scheduled moments, and anything else you'd like me to know. Once the event is underway, I work independently and adapt to the flow of the day, balancing candid photography with portraits and group photographs when appropriate.

Need a little social content? For clients who are primarily booking photography, I'm also happy to capture a few candid phone video clips during the event as time allows. They're often all that's needed for LinkedIn, Stories, and social media.

What kinds of events do you photograph?
I photograph a wide range of professional and special events throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area, including nonprofit galas, fundraising events, museum openings, cultural programs, university events, networking receptions, company celebrations, performing arts, community events, awards ceremonies, private dinners, and milestone celebrations.

Do you travel outside San Francisco?
Absolutely. I'm based in San Francisco and regularly photograph events throughout the Bay Area, including Oakland, Berkeley, Silicon Valley, Marin, Napa, Sonoma, and San Jose. I also travel throughout California and beyond for for events and projects.
Travel requirements are discussed before booking so there are no surprises.
Can you photograph both candid moments and portraits?
Yes. Most of my work is documentary in approach, capturing genuine interactions as the event naturally unfolds. I use a mix of available light and flash depending on the setting, including flash for posed photographs and throughout evening events. When appropriate, I also create polished portraits of speakers, VIPs, sponsors, teams, and guests to provide a complete gallery.
Do you photograph private celebrations?
Yes. Alongside organizational events, I photograph select anniversary celebrations, milestone events, private dinners, and receptions where documentary storytelling and polished photography are the priority.
How quickly are photos delivered?
Most clients receive highlight images within 24–48 hours when requested, with complete edited galleries typically delivered within one week. Rush delivery can often be arranged for media, marketing, or press deadlines.

From museum galleries and university campuses to waterfront venues, historic landmarks, hotels, theaters, conference centers, and civic buildings, photographing events throughout San Francisco since 2017 has provided experience adapting quickly to new environments while creating polished, consistent coverage.
Familiar venues are always a bonus, but they're never a requirement. Photographing hundreds of events has taught me how to quickly understand a new space, adapt to its lighting and layout, and work confidently from the moment I arrive.
