Every event has its own priorities. Before the event, we'll talk about what's most important to you, any key people you'd like photographed, and anything you'd like me to know before the day begins. Once the event is underway, I work independently, adapting to the flow of the event while creating photographs that reflect the experience as it naturally unfolds.

Whether you're celebrating a milestone, welcoming guests, honoring volunteers, hosting a public program, or bringing a community together, the goal is the same: to create photographs that feel genuine to the event and the people who shared it.

Organizations & Institutions

Museum openings, gallery exhibitions, artist talks, university programs, alumni events, nonprofit galas, donor receptions, benefit dinners, community initiatives, and public programs all have different audiences and objectives. My role is to understand those priorities before the event begins and create photographs that reflect both the experience and the people who made it happen.

Businesses & Professional Events

Company celebrations, networking receptions, customer appreciation events, awards programs, product launches, speaker series, leadership gatherings, and professional association events each have their own rhythm. Coverage balances the scheduled moments with the conversations and interactions that give the event its character.

What kinds of events do you photograph?

I photograph a wide range of professional and special events throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area, including nonprofit galas, fundraising events, museum openings, cultural programs, university events, networking receptions, company celebrations, performing arts, community events, awards ceremonies, private dinners, and milestone celebrations.

Do you photograph nonprofit events?

Yes. Nonprofit organizations are an important part of my work. I regularly photograph fundraising galas, donor receptions, volunteer recognition events, community initiatives, award ceremonies, and charity programs. Images are created with future fundraising, communications, annual reports, social media, and marketing in mind.

Do you travel outside San Francisco?

Absolutely. I'm based in San Francisco and regularly photograph events throughout the Bay Area, including Oakland, Berkeley, Silicon Valley, Marin, Napa, Sonoma, and San Jose. I also travel throughout California and beyond for assignments.

Travel requirements are discussed before booking so there are no surprises.

Can you photograph both candid moments and portraits?

Yes. Most of my work is documentary in approach, capturing genuine interactions as the event naturally unfolds. When appropriate, I also create polished portraits of speakers, VIPs, sponsors, teams, and guests to provide a complete gallery.

Do you photograph university events?

Yes. I photograph lectures, symposiums, commencement celebrations, alumni events, academic conferences, research programs, and campus events. My experience includes working with higher education institutions on events supporting communications, development, alumni relations, and marketing.

Do you photograph private celebrations?

Yes. Alongside organizational events, I photograph select anniversary celebrations, milestone events, private dinners, and receptions where documentary storytelling and polished photography are the priority.

How quickly are photos delivered?

Most clients receive highlight images within 24–48 hours when requested, with complete edited galleries typically delivered within one week. Rush delivery can often be arranged for media, marketing, or press deadlines.

Every venue presents different lighting, logistics, and opportunities for storytelling. From museum galleries and university campuses to waterfront venues, historic landmarks, hotels, theaters, conference centers, and civic buildings, photographing events throughout San Francisco since 2017 has provided experience adapting quickly to new environments while creating polished, consistent coverage.

Familiar venues are always a bonus, but they're never a requirement. Photographing hundreds of events has taught me how to quickly understand a new space, adapt to its lighting and layout, and work confidently from the moment I arrive.
