Hi, I'm Nico.
I'm a San Francisco event photographer specializing in corporate events since 2017.
I've photographed events throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area for companies, institutions, and nonprofits including AWS Startups, HSBC, Hulu, Citadel, Intuit Mailchimp, CNBC, UCLA Law, and UC Berkeley. Alongside event coverage, I also photograph headshots and environmental portraits.
I've worked at many of San Francisco's best-known venues, from Moscone Center and Salesforce Tower to Julia Morgan Ballroom, SFMOMA, and waterfront event spaces throughout the Bay Area.
Photography has introduced me to people, places, and experiences I might never have encountered otherwise.
Some photographers prefer building a picture. I prefer finding one. I've never been the loudest person in the room, and photography suits me because it rewards paying attention. That's probably why documentary event photography feels like home.
I enjoy the unpredictability of photography. No two events are quite the same, and after years of doing this, I'm still interested in what happens when you put people together in a room and pay attention.
I live in San Francisco's Mission District with my three orange cats, Finn, Henri, and Luca. When I'm not running my business, you'll often find me walking the city with a camera. Real life is often stranger than fiction, and I'm always curious to see what I'll come across next.

My Way of Seeing
Whether I'm photographing an executive meeting, a conference, a cultural event, or a quiet street corner in San Francisco, I'm interested in the moments that emerge naturally when people gather, connect, and move through the world. My personal work and event work come from the same place: observation, curiosity, and a photojournalistic approach focused on genuine interactions, reactions, and connections.
Alongside the key photographs every event requires, I look for the unscripted moments that help tell the story of what the event actually felt like.
While most of my work focuses on corporate events, I've also photographed cultural organizations, performing arts groups, educational institutions, and community programs across the Bay Area. Those experiences continue to influence the way I see people, spaces, and the story each event has to tell. The camera gives me a reason to be in the room.
What It's Like to Work Together
You'll know who's photographing your event.
The photographer you speak with during planning is the photographer who will be there on the day. If additional coverage is needed, I bring in trusted associate photographers while remaining your primary point of contact throughout the project.
Direct communication from start to finish.
You'll work directly with me throughout the project, from planning through delivery, without unnecessary handoffs or layers of communication.
A consistent photographic style.
The photographs in my portfolio reflect the way I photograph every event because I'm the person behind the camera.
Scales when your event requires it.
Larger conferences and multi-location events sometimes require additional photographers. When they do, I bring in trusted associate photographers while remaining your primary point of contact throughout the project.
